Uber's first study detailing unsafe incidents on the ride-hailing platform, the company reports 3,045 sexual assaults occurred during its 1.3 billion rides in the United States in
2018. Nine people were murdered and 58 killed in crashes. Uber is hardly alone. Last week,
19 women joined a lawsuit against Lyft, saying they had been sexually assaulted during rides arranged by the company.
