
Troy Young, president of Hearst Magazines, was named
chairman of IAB’s board of directors at the organization’s annual leadership meeting in California.
Young was previously the board’s vice chairman, a position he’s held
since February 2019.

technology providers, to the world’s most vibrant brands,” stated Randall Rothenberg, CEO, IAB. “In an industry where commerce, media and advertising are increasingly convergent, the
depth and breadth of Troy’s experience makes him the perfect person to lead our Board of Directors into the future.”
Kirk McDonald, Chief Business Officer at Xandr, has been
elected to the role of vice chairman in 2020.

The recently announced slate features 11 new representatives to IAB’s board, including Alysia Borsa, Chief Business and Data Officer
at Meredith Corporation, Anneka Gupta, president and head of products and platforms at LiveRamp, and General Motors Global Chief Marketing Officer Deborah Wahl.
Young stated: “In recent
years, we’ve worked hard to unite different parts of the digital ecosystem under one umbrella and we’ve made significant progress. At this pivotal time of change in our media ecosystem,
IAB is the only organization that can bring together such a diverse group of stakeholders and provide the technical leadership the industry needs."
Reelected and continuing members to the
board of directors include Gina Garrubbo, President-CEO of National Public Media (IAB Executive Committee); Rajeev Goel, cofounder-CEO of PubMatic; Chris Guenther, senior vice president-global head of
programmatic at News Corp; Julie Jacobs, executive vice president-general counsel for Verizon Media; Craig Kostelic, Chief Business Officer, Media and Partnerships at Condé Nast; and Joy
Robbins, Chief Revenue Officer for The Washington Post, among others.
