Mailchimp is offering free five-year custom domains to small businesses to get online and relieve their financial stress during the COVID-19 crisis. The service starts today, April 8.    

New and existing clients can find a domain (up to $25) that fits their brand, and use built-in templates to build a multi-page site, the company says. 

Mailchimp says it will renew users’ hosting and ownership every year for five years, providing they publish a website within the first year. 

The company launched its domain service last fall. It says it will allow consumers to search for and buy domains directly on Mailchimp.com, and not in the app within the next few weeks.
