City And Regional Magazine Ad Page Counts

The City and Regional Magazine Association (CRMA) today announced that advertising page counts for 28 of its reporting member publications for the year ended December 31, 2001, were down only 0.3%, compared to the previous year, and for December 2001 advertising pages were down 3.2%, compared to December 2000. Total advertising page count for the 2001 year was 24,728, compared to 24,651 in 2000. Jim Fitzpatrick, CRMA president and publisher of San Diego Magazine, said, “The City and Regional Magazine category in 2001 showed remarkable resiliency despite the downturn in the economy and the ramifications of the September 11 tragedy. We are very optimistic about 2002, and believe that our magazine category will remain strong thanks to our loyal cadre of both national and local advertisers.”
