Liquor marketers now have yet another new outlet to advertise their products, following yesterday's announcement that Sirius Satellite Radio will begin running new commercials for Tanqueray gin, a
Diageo brand. The effort will run on the radio network's talk, sports, news, and entertainment channels but not on its music programs. In accepting hard liquor ads, Sirius joins a growing list of
media outlets now accepting distilled spirits ads. But so far the big six national networks--ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, UPN and WB--are still holdouts.
