Fund-raising agency Amergent has named George Whelan as senior vice president of agency business development.

Previously, Whelan served at Blackbaud. 

Whelan had named Amergent as agency of record when working as director of mid-level giving at Thirteen/WNET in New York.

Amergent CEO Jack Doyle says Whelan’s “knowledge of donor data enhancements and cooperative database business will help our clients maximize their fundraising investment options across all channels.”
