The NFL will air a spot during Super Bowl pre-game activities that salutes Vince Lombardi, who the league calls “one of the league’s most inspirational figures and a pioneering ally in
social justice.” The spot, “As One,” features the words of Lombardi in his own voice as well as CGI images of him. Among the quotes in the spot from Lombardi, who passed away in 1970
at the age of 57: “We arrived with courage, stamina, with teamwork,” “The road has been rough, and nothing from hell to sky has turned us back” and “The measure of who we
are is what we do with what we have.”
