  • November 10, 2005
In a different kind of convergence, radio ad sales representation giant Interep has moved into the TV business. Interep, a publicly traded rep firm that dominates radio advertising sales, Wednesday announced its entry into the TV sales business via a new unit representing Azteca America's Spanish-language TV stations. Bob Turner was named president of Azteca America Television Sales from president of Interep's D&R Radio unit. "For the past few years, Interep has been looking into cross-media representation opportunities that were compatible with our core radio business," stated Ralph Guild, chairman-CEO of Interep, which already has an online advertising sales unit, Interep Interactive. -- Joe Mandese
