Los Angeles Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong is “the second-most despised man in newspapers,” critics say following Soon-Shiong’s abstention in the shareholder vote to to sell Tribune Publishing to Alden Global Capital. His vote was, in effect, a yes. The most despised person? Heath Freeman, Alden president.
