Two Magazine Brands Announce Initiatives Aimed At Women

Inc. and Rolling Stone this week unveiled two unrelated brand-extension projects targeted to women, one dedicated to Black women entrepreneurs and the other focused on opportunities for female artists in the crypto space.

Inc.’s program is called All the Hats, a reference to the many jobs held by entrepreneurs.  All the Hats is designed to serve as a place of community -- and ultimately a standalone site of information -- for Black women entrepreneurs, according to Inc.

The site is led by Teneshia Carr, an Inc. contributor and founder of Blanc Magazine Media. Carr will curate content -- ranging from articles to videos and Zoom roundtables -- on all the "trials, triumphs, tips, tricks, thoughts, and, of course, very busy days of Black women entrepreneurs," according to copy on the site.

Black women  make up the fastest growing segment of entrepreneurs in the U.S., despite challenges that few other demographics face, from family demands to funding constraints.

The site is packed with content already, with an introductory video from Carr, even though it launched only two days ago.

Rolling Stone, for its part, is collaborating with the cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase and Boss Beauties, a female-led global initiative that creates opportunities for girls and women.

Boss Beauties will be among the artists involved in an NFT collection created by Rolling Stone and Coinbase. The collection features works by 12 influential digital artists in the crypto space. Each was tasked with creating an art piece that was then reimagined with the addition of the Rolling Stone logo.

Last fall, Boss Beauties launched its first NFT collection of10,000 diverse images of women and girls, created by women and girls. It featured images of women in all walks of life, from doctors and astronauts to moms and soldiers all representing different cultures and skin colors.

The collection sold out in its first hour and became the first NFT collection featured on the New York Stock Exchange.

Rolling Stone’s exclusive NFT collection will make its debut at the Rolling Stone Live event at the Super Bowl, which will also kick off the beginning of an ongoing partnership between Rolling Stone and Coinbase.
