Trifecta Events, the entrepreneurial company formed to acquire and manage events, on Wednesday announced the acquisition of the NATDA Trailer Show and NATDA magazine from the North American Trailer Dealers Association.
The M&A firm Corporate Solutions, based in Westport, Connecticut, advised the NATDA in the transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
The association was formed 14 years ago by Andy Ackerman, the president, and Vice President Amy Ackerman. It serves all segments of the industry, including the living quarter, cargo, racecar, horse, marine, dump, flatbed and toy-hauler segments, who built the business into the market-leading trade show and publication serving the trailer industry, according to a press release from Corporate Solutions.
The NATDA Trailer Show is held annually at the Music City Center in Nashville, hosting 140,000 net square feet of exhibit space. The magazines is published six times a year. The association works with a membership model that delivers audience exposure to dealers, manufacturers and service providers.

“This is the perfect acquisition for Trifecta Collective,” said Corporate Solutions head Nick Curci. “Industry veterans [Trifecta’s] Rick McConnell and Jennifer Hoff, backed by the private-equity firm GreyLion Capital, now have a great platform to acquire other industry events.”
“The Ackermans did a great job building this business to a point where they attracted many interested buyers,” Curci continued. “It quickly became clear that the Trifecta team was best suited to take over the business for future success.”
