Mediavine Names Matt Kaminsky VP Of New Business Unit

Ad management firm Mediavine has hired Matt Kaminsky as vice president of its new business developer division.

Kaminsky will focus on identifying niches and publishers who might benefit from MediaVine’s technology, and on building the firm’s business development team as it diversifies its offerings.

Previously, Kaminsky was vice president of business development for Enthusiast Gaming, and has also worked in such verticals as entertainment, tech, automotive and sports.

Kaminsky sees Mediavine as providing transparency, publisher support and “a better, technology-forward way for publishers to monetize," which he notes are "just a few of the many things that separates Mediavine from the competition.”

"As the deadline approaches for the deprecation of third-party cookies in Chrome, we recognize the need to expand Mediavine's digital footprint," said Eric Hochberger, Mediavine co-founder and CEO.

Mediiavine  serves over 9,000 independent publishers. Late last year, it joined the World Wide Web Consortium,  an international community where members and others work to develop global web standards.

The company also offers a A a platform that lets automated auctions for ad placements happen outside of a publisher's website. This reduces the strain on web browsers, the company said.
