The New York Times has hired Jonathan Bang, formerly with Conde Nast, as a video journalist for NYT Cooking.  

Bang will create videos that will feature cooking, combining service journalism, entertainment and visual storytelling. Bang will work with senior video producer  Gabriella Lewis on further developing new and existing video series, and will support personality-driven recipe videos under Vaughn Vreeland and reported videos under CC Allen. 

At Conde Nast, Bang was a creative producer for Bon Appetit, and also produced videos for Wired, Vanity Fair, GQ and Epicurious. At Bon Appetit, Bang worked from the idea stage through casting, booking and producing.
