Nonprofit To Acquire 'Colorado Springs Independent'

The Colorado Springs Independent, a weekly known as the Indy, is being acquired by a new nonprofit: Sixty35 Media. 

The co-founder, John Weiss, is retiring this month at age 67 and closing the Colorado Publishing House, according to the (Colorado Springs) Gazette,  

Also being acquired by the nonprofit are tge Colorado Springs Business Journal, the Southeast Express, the Pikes Peak Bulletin in Manitou Springs, The Transcript legal publication and two newspapers under Colorado Springs Military Group: The Fort Carson Mountaineer and the Space Orbital for Schriever Space Force Base, the Gazette adds.  

The two military titles will close on November and be reformatted.
