Uber Eats Celebrates Downtime



Uber Eats is taking an offbeat approach to advertising its offerings post-pandemic, by talking about the unheralded benefits of its service, namely the free time it gives you.

In this UK campaign, via Mother, London, a man uses his downtime to listen to Bill Withers’ classic “Who is He (And What is He to You)?” while he picks out and puts on a Western string tie and fancy shoes and does a little soft-shoe for his wife. His wife seems somewhat impressed, until his phone signals that the Uber order has come and he runs to the door to retrieve it.

A headline then appears, saying “Embrace the art of doing less.”
