Spiny.ai (Spiny), a content
analytics platform for digital publishers, emerged from beta in October with $2.5 million in venture capital from Nashville Capital Network and other investors.
Spiny.ai applies artificial intelligence to help publishers scale their businesses.
Users can use the single analytics platform to understand their audience, define their content strategy and manage editorial teams, it says.
“Spiny was born out
of our frustrations running publishing companies, where growth was achieved with large technical teams and complex technologies,” states CEO Nana B. Nyantekyi, who co-founded Spiny with Shannon
Terry and Andrew Johnson.

Nyantekyi adds, “We felt there was a need to develop a product that ties together all the core pillars of digital publishing - audience,
editorial, and revenue.”
The founders have worked at such digital titles as CBS Sports, Rivals.com, 247Sports, and Comicbook.com.
Spiny.ai also offers a programmatic advertising titles called BidRoll, which allows
publishers to monetize their content, it says.
The firm’s clients include On3 Media, Outsider.com, and Leaders.com.
