Digital Veteran Andrew Morse Named Publisher Of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution'

Cox Enterprises has named Andrew Morse, the former head of digital at CNN Worldwide, as publisher and president of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC). He starts Monday.

Morse will be tasked with continuing the AJC's move to digital and its evolution into a modern media company at the heart of daily life in Atlanta, Cox says. The AJC audience is engaged digitally, with 99% getting news through the AJC’s various digital platforms.  

Previously, Morse oversaw CNN’s digital news operation, including CNN.com, CNN Audio and CNN Underscored. He also was in charge of the network's direct-to-consumer streaming platform. 

In addition, Morse co-founded Great Big Story, a short form video company with 13 million users. Morse served as EVP of Editorial for CNN US.

Prior to that, Morse was head of Bloomberg Television in the U.S., and had served in a variety of roles in 15 years at ABC News, including executive in charge of ABC News Digital.
