Hearst Magazines And The Whitney Museum Partner To Highlight Women Artists

Hearst Magazines has launched a partnership with The Whitney Museum to commemorate International Women’s Day with an initiative titled “The Art Of Moving Forward.”

Twelve female creators each selected a piece of their artwork that they feel speaks to the struggle and power of women.

Selected by Whitney’s chief curator’s office, the artists include Justine Kurland, Rachel Rossin, Cheyenne Julien, Orian Barki and Meriem Bennani.

Johnnie Walker, which has awarded more than $1 million in grants to women-owned businesses, is a partner of the program.

The journalistic project will be featured in 12 Hearst titles: Cosmo, Country Living, ELLE Decor, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s BAZAAR, House Beautiful, Men’s Health, Oprah Daily, Town & Country, Veranda, and Women’s Health.
