Esther Perel is moving her "Where Should We Begin?" podcast from Spotify to the Vox Media Podcast Network.
The psychotherapist and best-selling author has formed a strategic partnership with Vox.
Vox will handle sales, marketing and distribution for the podcast, which this summer will ramp up to weekly, "always on" frequency.
Launched in 2017, the podcast now has millions of listeners. Each episode features anonymous pairs, ranging from couples to work colleagues, in one-time therapy sessions.
The podcast will continue to be produced by Magnificent Noise, a boutique podcast production company.
Bonus content will be available to subscribers through a partnership with Apple Podcasts. In addition, Vox Media and Perel will explore potential collaborations with New York magazine and The Cut, and opportunities like live events.
Perel is running what she calls “a global public health campaign, specifically for relationships.”
She adds, “As the podcast has grown, we’ve eagerly sought creative partners to help us bring the podcast to even broader audiences.”
"Esther brings a unique combination of talents to the podcast space: she informs us, entertains us, answers big questions that we've all had on our minds, and helps her listeners improve the relationships in their lives," states Ray Chao, Vox Media's senior vice president & general manager of audio and digital video.
