'The Boston Globe' Rolls Out New Hampshire Coverage

The Boston Globe has debuted Boston Globe NewHampshire, a journalistic product that will cover the Granite state. A weekday email newsletter titled Globe NH | Morning Report will debut in April.

The team will be anchored by New Hampshire-based journalists Steven Porter and Amanda Gokee.

“New Hampshire is home to our second-highest subscriber population outside of Massachusetts and this investment to strengthen local news coverage reflects our commitment to serve our community throughout the region, ” said Linda Henry, Boston Globe Media CEO.

The product apparently will be similar to Boston Globe Rhode Island, an expansion into Rhode Island that was launched in 2019 and has won 27 Rhode Island Press Association Awards. It includes Rhode Map, an email newsletter that reaches 100,000 readers every weekday, and a weekly podcast and a food and dining section.

Lylah Alphonse, who directs the Rhode Island coverage, will also  edit and shape Boston Globe New Hampshire.

“The Globe has the largest newsroom in New England, a deep bench of talented multimedia journalists and editors, and we prioritize on-the-ground reporting. Issues that are important in New Hampshire often resonate with readers outside of the state," states Boston Globe Editor Nancy Barnes.
