Group M, Other WPP Units Move To New Detroit Digs Owned By Ford

  • January 13, 2006
WPP Group is moving the offices of five of its Detroit-area agencies into a two-building campus in Dearborn, Mich., to better service Ford Motor Co., one of the company's biggest clients, also based in Dearborn. The move includes JWT, GroupM, Ogilvy & Mather, Wunderman, and Young & Rubicam. A spokeswoman said all the agencies will continue to operate independently, but will be based in the same location in order to more easily collaborate on work for Ford, which each agency handles in some capacity. Y&R and Wunderman are already located in the new facility, but JWT faces the most daunting move, shifting 600 employees from downtown Detroit to the new campus. The agencies will share the two Ford Land-owned buildings at 500 and 550 Town Center Drive in Dearborn. The moves are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
