The Virginian Review is doubling down on local coverage as it approaches its centennial, in line with the wishes of its subscribers.
“On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, you’ll see the Virginian Review newspaper return to only reporting on local news from Alleghany and Bath counties,” Scot Refsland, publisher.i
Refsland adds, “We are decoupling the West Virginia Daily News and The Virginian Review. We understand and wholeheartedly agree with your desire to see more local news in our publication.
Local news has been a focus of the publication since its founding in 1914.
“By refocusing our coverage on local news, we aim to strengthen the connection between members of our community and provide a platform for stories that matter most to you,” Refsland concludes.
