Forbes has appointed Jabari Young senior editor of ForbesBLK, a community and platform to amplify the voices of Black
creators, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Young will be tasked with extending ForbesBLK into all aspects of the community,
including networking and membership.
“ForbesBLK is at an important junction in Forbes’ growth,” Young says. “We know there is an appetite for more business storytelling highlighting
the Black perspective while celebrating our success in all sectors.”

The company has also hired Ayisha Mendez as community manager to support
the growth of ForbesBLK.

- Grant Hill, business leader, Former NBA Player and co-owner of the Atlanta Hawks
- Okieriete "Oak" Onaodowan, Broadway actor

- Andre “Dre”
Lyon, producer/songwriter
- Ingrid Sturgis, department chair of journalism at Howard University.
ForbesBLK members joined the Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit in Botswana in April.
