'Post and Courier' Signs With EZ Newswire In Revenue, Targeting Move

The Post and Courier, which claims to be the oldest newspaper in the South and the largest in South Carolina, has formed a partnership with EZ Newswire, a technology platform that helps businesses publish press releases.

With this arrangement, The Post and Courier joins EZ Newswire’s publisher network, the benefits of which include revenue from press release placements.

EZ Newswire enables brands to publish press releases and business announcements on a publication’s website. The firm shares revenue from each transaction with its publisher partners, while creating a new channel of advertising leads, a company spokesperson says.

The  Post and Courier has a weekly print readership of over 200,000 and over 2 million unique online readers.

The arrangement with EZ Newswire will benefit “our readers, local businesses, and new advertisers,” says P.J. Browning, president and publisher of The Post and Courier.

Browning adds, “This partnership represents our commitment to serving our readers with relevant content, supporting local businesses, and bringing advertising dollars from across the country to South Carolina.”

The Post and Courier descends from the Charleston Courier, founded in 1803, the Charleston Daily News, started in 1865, and The Evening Post, debuting in 1894, the company says.
