Capitalizing on the yearly Halloween arrival of its popular Spider Donut, today Dunkin’ announced a six-foot-tall inflatable decorative version will be available for the first time. The enormous lawn ornament can be purchased for $99.99 for a limited time on the chain’s website.
The inflatable donut is the first part of a three-pronged Halloween Holiday promotional effort. On Oct. 11, Dunkin’ will roll out the (edible) Spider Donut and a Halloween sprinkle takeover in the bakery case.
The Spider Donut is an orange frosted one topped with a chocolate glazed MUNCHKINS donut hole that mimics a spider, with chocolate drizzle for spider legs and white drizzle eyes. Chocolate and orange sprinkles will also take over chocolate, vanilla and strawberry frosted donuts.
“Our Spider Donut has increasingly become a symbol of the Halloween spirit here at Dunkin’,” Kemma Kefalas, director of brand engagement, said in a release. “This year, we wanted to create a new and out-of-the-donut-box way for Spider Donut fans to showcase their love for the season with this inflatable.”

The third part of the holiday effort is the offering of a limited-edition Spider Donut Keychain, only available in-store for $7.99.
Through the month of October, members of Dunkin’s rewards program will receive a free medium hot or iced coffee on Mondays with purchase, a $2 medium cold brew and $1 off a half dozen classic donuts. Boosted Dunkin’ Rewards members will receive 3X points on hot or iced signature lattes. Members who order ahead via the Dunkin’ app will earn an additional 100 bonus points on Wednesdays.
Separately, in honor of World Teacher’s Day on Oct, 5, Dunkin’ will offer a free medium hot or iced coffee at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide to all educators.
