Saturn Says Goodby to Publicis

  • February 1, 2002
The Saturn division of General Motors Corp. has selected Omnicom Group's Goodby Silverstein & Partners as its advertising agency. The account is worth an estimated $300 million as Saturn gears up to launch its new "Ion" line of small cars, which will replace the sagging Saturn S-Series line. The agency will also handle all Saturn's national and regional retailer advertising. Goodby Silverstein's win is a significant loss for Publicis SA's Publicis & Hal Riney agency, which has held the Saturn account since the GM unit's launch in 1990.
