Cable TV has surpassed a third of total TV advertising sales, market researcher Kagan Research estimated in a report released Wednesday. Kagan said cable's percentage of TV advertising sales reached
33.4 percent by year-end 2005, and forecasted that cable ad billings would reach $55 billion, exceeding broadcast for the first time, by 2014. Kagan said local cable ad sales are one of the fastest
growing segments and would reach $6.4 billion by 2009. --
