Checkers and Rally’s has launched a line of three Sourdough melts available for a limited time. They include the Bacon Sourdough Buford Melt, made up of two beef patties, Swiss and melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions and two strips of bacon, topped with mayo and ketchup, between two slices of toasted sourdough bread. The Bacon Sourdough Mother Cruncher Melt is two all-white meat Mother Cruncher chicken filets,  Swiss and melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions and two strips of bacon, again served on toasted sourdough bread.

Taco Bell has released its own take on the empanada, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada.  The limited time offer consists of a crispy shell with Mexican-inspired flavors including seasoned chicken and cheese.

Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux, has added three new flavors to its chicken wing offerings. The  Stingin' Honey combines honey sweetness with a hint of heat. The Mojito Lime brings together  lime and mint flavors, and the GochuBANG flavor is a fusion of Korean-inspired gochujang and other spices.

Locations

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has announced a three-store agreement in the greater Las Vegas area. The Vegas expansion follows the recent news of the chain’s two multi-unit development agreements in Phoenix as well. Originating on the Big Island, Bad Ass sources premium coffee from the Kona region of the Big Island, as well as from Kauai and Maui.

Beard Papa's, the global Japanese crème puff chain, is set to open two new locations later this month on Feb. 24, one in South Jordan, Utah and the other in Boston. Founded in Osaka, the sweet chain now has more than 475 locations in 15 countries and territories around the world.

Chicken Salad Chick announced its latest location in Columbia, South Carolina in the Trenholm Plaza shopping center. This is the third Chicken Salad Chick to open in the market. The grand opening is on Feb. 27 with the first 100 guests winning free chicken salad for a year.

Playa Bowls has signed eight new multiunit franchise agreements that should rresult in the development of 54 new shops. As part of the commitments, Playa Bowls will enter the Chicago market and increase its presence in Miami, New York, Boston and other regions.
