Margaret Zhang, EIC Of 'Vogue China,' Is Jumping to CAA

Margaret Zhang, who will step down from her post as editor of Vogue China in May, has joined Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as a filmmaker, writer and producer, according to a report in Variety.

“I am immensely proud of the radical evolution that we have driven at Vogue China over the past three years, expanding its impact from its print beginnings to becoming a multimedia bridge for creative culture – China to the world, the world to China,” Zhang wrote in a memo last week,” Variety says.

Zhang’s tenure at Vogue China was controversial in one respect: she was attacked in social media for being born in Australia, although she is ethnic Chinese, Financial Times writes.

But Zhang has more than 2 million followers on Instagram, according to Financial Times. The fashion executive joined Condé Nast two years ago and was the youngest Vogue editor.
