Maryam Banikarim has been named managing director, Fortune Live Media, a new title.  

Banikarim will lead Fortune’s Most Powerful Women and Brainstorm Tech global franchises.

Maryam has earned a reputation as a bold leader who drives growth, builds culture, inspires all stakeholders, and importantly for her new role at Fortune, builds community.” 

Banikarim served as a guest co-chair of the 2023 Fortune Most Powerful Women summit. In addition, she has held executive titles at Gannett, Nextdoor Holdings Inc., Hyatt Hotels Corporation, NBCUniversal and Univision.
