Jersey Mike's Raises Record-Breaking $25 Million During 2024's Month Of Giving

Jersey Mike’s Subs’ 14th annual Month of Giving has broken a new record this March, raising $4 million more than last year, bringing in $25 million to donate to more than 200 local charities.

Every year the chain holds the “Month of Giving” during March, where customers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, or donate $1, $3, or $5 when placing their order. Towards the end of the month, this year on March 27, the giving culminates with more than 2,700 Jersey Mike’s locations donating 100% of sales from that day, not just profits, to local charities including hospitals, youth organizations and food banks, among others.

"It's incredibly heart-warming to see our customers rally to support their local charities by showing up to buy subs," said Caroline Jones, SVP, Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems, Inc., and daughter of founder Peter Cancro in a release. "Day of Giving is our busiest day, and we look forward to it all year. Thank you to our customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners for making a difference."

At the first nationwide fundraiser in 2011, all of Jersey Mike's 454 locations raised $600,000 for 66 charities. Including this year’s donation, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $113 million for local charities since the start.

Charities are individually selected by restaurant owners in each market to support the local community. A list of benefiting charities can be found by state here.

Since launching in 1956, Jersey Mike's Subs now has more than 3,000 locations open and in development nationwide.
