Glad Products, maker of famed Glad trash bags, became the first corporate sponsor of New Orleans' 2006 Mardi Gras, it was announced Tuesday. As part of efforts to recover from Hurricane Katrina, New
Orleans has formed a Mardi Gras Ad Support and Sponsorship Program to recruit corporate sponsors for the annual celebration. Glad is the first "high-level" sponsor to join, promising 100,000 trash
bags and logistical support to lessen expenses associated with the city's production of the revel.
