Podcast company Lemonada Media is partnering with Simon & Schuster to launch a book imprint.
Working with Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books unit, Lemonada will launch Lemonada Books, starting with two books based on podcasts, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The titles are Fail Better, discussions about failure led by David Duchovny, and Last Day, a podcast hosted by Stephanie Wittels Wachs, co-founder and chief creative officer of Lemonada.
“Podcasting is a vibrant source for storytelling, enlightening conversation, entertainment and helpful information – and Lemonada is a proven leader in producing the podcasts that listeners most want to hear,” says Jonathan Karp, CEO of Simon & Schuster, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “We look forward to working with them to create books that will expand their highly popular podcasts into the time-tested medium of books, bringing them to readers everywhere.”
Lemonada also offers the Lemonada Book Club, which works with Apple Books to select monthly works.
