CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy, writer of the Reliable Sources newsletter, has resigned and is starting a premium daily newsletter called Status, the first issue of which is to appear on Monday.
“Drawing on a deep well of sourcing and industry expertise, Status delivers hard-hitting reporting and unflinching analysis on the Fourth Estate, Hollywood, and Silicon Valley,” Darcy writes, according to reports. “There will be no sugarcoating, no pulling punches, no sparing sensitive egos – just the unvarnished truth about the companies and individuals who shape our world.”
CNN Chairman Mark Thompson describes Darcy, who started at CNN in 2017, as “a great shepherd” of Reliable Sources, The New York Times reports.
The price for Status starts at $15 per month.
