The Guardian US has named Sara Badler as chief
advertising officer, North America, effective immediately.
Previously, Badler was chief commercial officer at Morning Brew. She has also served as chief
revenue officer of enterprising advertising and partnerships at Dotdash Meredith.
“In a short time, the Guardian has built a strong and robust track record with the
US advertising community, but we still have significant room to grow,” says Steve Sachs, managing director, the Guardian US, to whom Badler will
report. “Sara will help hone the Guardian’s value proposition for US advertisers, strengthen client relationships, expand into new categories, and turbocharge our
programmatic offerings and capabilities.”
Badler is being tasked with driving ad revenue growth, building client relationships, and leading marketing, programmatic, and ad
operations.
She notes, “it is crucial that our newsroom thrives through dedicated reader support and elevated advertising experiences.”
