Taco Bell is hotter than ever -- at least when it comes to hot sauce.
Today the chain announced its hot sauce collaboration with Grammy-nominated musician Omar Apollo. The partnership is meant to “celebrate Mexican American Apollo's family heritage, [and is] inspired by a homemade recipe passed down for generations,” per the announcement.
The new fiery condiment, Disha Hot Hot Sauce, will be available beginning Sept. 26, along with the limited-edition Disha Hot Discovery Box containing three Disha Hot Hot Sauce Packets, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Crunchy Taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce and a medium fountain drink.
Taco Bell Rewards Members will get early access starting Sept. 24, along with a chance to win a limited-edition Taco Bell X Disha Hot liquid-infused vinyl record of Apollo’s latest album, "God Said No," which will be available in limited quantities at a special Tuesday Drop in the Taco Bell app on Sept. 24.

"Our sauce packets are more than just condiments; they're a beloved part of the Taco Bell experience,” said Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell's CMO in the release. “When Omar shared the story of his family's Disha Hot sauce and its unique, personal flavors, we knew this was the kind of meaningful partnership our fans would love."
The sauce is described as having a “rich, smoky balance of heat and flavor,” and will carry “wisdoms” (the copy on the sauce packets themselves) created by Apollo, such as "Hotter in person," "My mom made this – Omar," and "Who's Omar Apollo?" Ingredients in the new hot sauce include roasted tomatillos, white vinegar, peppers, and a “family-secret spice blend.”
To promote the new sauce, Apollo and his mother Enriqueta are shown making the Disha Hot at the Taco Bell's Test Kitchen on Taco Bell’s YouTube channel here.
