Hockey season is back, as is Tim
Hortons’ NHL hockey cards, now featuring new players along with fan favorites and a chance to find the brand’s own version of a “golden ticket."
This year’s card
lineup includes the addition of San Jose Sharks’ Macklin Celebrini and New York Islanders’ Matthew Schaefer, who join existing Tims’ partners Pittsburg Penguins’ Sidney Crosby,
Colorado Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon and Florida Panthers’ Brad Marchand.
The 2026-2027 collection includes 234 autographed cards and rare inserts, such as “NHL Signature
Jersey Relics” cards, as well as inserts for “Next Gen Phenoms” and “Powerhouse Pillars.”
“Every fall, ripping open that first pack of hockey cards is as
much a part of the season as the puck drop itself,” Hope Bagozzi, CMO for Tim Hortons, said in a release, also noting the brand gives collectors "a chance to celebrate hockey's next generation
and the legends of today's game.”

This year the select packs may include “Golden Prize Cards,” which can award recipients a VIP meeting with Crosby, a trip to the Stanley Cup
Finals or a 2027 Hyundai Kona, among other prizes.
The 4,000-unit Tim Hortons has been selling the popular trading cards since the 2015–16 NHL season, with the initial drops often
selling out within days in smaller towns. There’s a massive secondary market for the more rare cards, such as those that are signed or part of the “Jersey Relics” inserts, with
prices online ranging from $30 to $2,000, according to the Toronto Star. The brand often hosts its own Hockey Card Trade Nights, where collectors meet up IRL to show off their cards.
