At least three UK-based magazines owned by Future Publishing are being shuttered.
One is N-Photo, a publication billed as the “100% Independent” magazine for Nikon fans. Subscribers will receive subscriptions to Digital Camera World, according to PetaPixel.
Another is Play, a print gaming magazine that was preceded in 2021 by Official PlayStation Magazine, which had Sony branding.
“With a heavy heart, we have to let you know that the next issue of Play will be the magazine’s final one,” the team writes on X. “For current subscribers, the subs team will reach out before long with next steps.”
In addition, Total Film is being closed down.
“Gladiator II is on the cover of Total Film’s upcoming issue 356, which hits print and digital newsstands on October 10,” the editorial team writes. “It’s with a heavy heart that we announce that this will be the final issue of the print magazine."
They add: “Print subscribers will receive their issue with an exclusive cover shortly (and our subscriptions team will be in touch shortly to discuss next steps)."

In addition Future has shuttered Guitar Player in the U.S. Subscribers will have their subscriptions fulfilled with Guitar World. They will also receive a $10 voucher towards a different Future subscription. Unfortunately, Future was not a good steward of a very good mag.
