The self-proclaimed “Endless Pizza Buffet,” Cicis Pizza this week announced the promotion of Maria Trujillo to CMO, effective immediately. Trujillo previously served as vice president of marketing at Cicis since 2022, where she has been the “driving force behind traffic-driving promotions, strategic partnerships and amplifying digital presence” for the brand, per the announcement.
“Maria’s leadership has been invaluable in propelling Cicis forward over the past two years,” said Jeff Hetsel, president of Cicis Pizza, in the release. “Her innovative marketing strategies and collaborative spirit have made an incredible impact on the brand. We’re confident that under her direction as CMO, Cicis will continue to thrive and break new ground in the family dining industry, especially as we head into our 40th anniversary.”

Before Cicis, Trujillo worked for over eleven years at 7-11, rising to the position of director, integrated marketing, and also served as director of brand activation at wholesaler Core-Mark International. Earlier in her career she worked as a senior brand manager at Rapp Collins Worldwide on the Brinker business.
“My goal has always been to push the boundaries of what’s possible in marketing while keeping our guests at the center of everything we do,” said Trujillo in the release. “I look forward to driving fresh, data-driven strategies that fuel growth and deepen our connection with Cicis fans across the country.”
