
Dan Goodgame is stepping down as editor
in chief of Texas Monthly magazine at the end of the year.
He will be succeeded Ross McCammon, who was named as deputy editor last year, according
to Texas Monthly.
“I’m proud of Dan and the gifted editorial team he has built and led,” says Randa Duncan Williams,” chairman of Texas
Monthly LLC. “Together, they’ve improved the quality of our journalism, given Texans many new ways to enjoy it, and attracted a much larger audience, statewide and
nationally.”
McCammon will be tasked with leading Texas Monthly’s editorial strategy across its weekly TV programming, digital video, podcasts, live events,
newsletters, books, social media, and Hollywood productions based on Texas Monthly stories.
Previously, McCammon served as a top editor for Esquire,
GQ, and Men’s Health. He is the author of the book, Works Well with Others.
