Music platform SoundCloud has formed a partnership with technology company PubMatic to make its video and display inventory available on desktop and mobile app.
The arrangement combines SoundCloud’s reach and user base with PubMatic’s advertising tools, the firms say.
“By making SoundCloud’s top-tier programmatic inventory available, we’re connecting advertisers to a dynamic community of music enthusiasts, setting the stage for groundbreaking campaigns,” says Kyle Dozeman, chief revenue officer, Americas, PubMatic.
The digital audio ad market is expected to reach 1.6 billion users by 2028, SoundCloud reports. Spending in the market is forecast at $11.13
billion in 2024.
“Partnering with PubMatic provides advertisers with enhanced opportunities to engage with SoundCloud’s vibrant audience,
further empowering the 40+ million creators on our platform,” says Jonathan Kopitko, senior director, global partnerships, SoundCloud.
