The tech news site Gizmodo has
named Rose Pastore, a journalist who has been with the publication since 2017, as editor in chief. The publication also appointed Mylene Poncet as its managing
director.
These are the first major executive changes since Gizmodo was acquired by Keleops in June of this year.
Pastore is a
veteran science and technology reporter who has served in such roles as science editor and executive editor.
“Gizmodo’s audience has remained loyal
over the years because of our distinctive voice and perspective, and we’ll keep delivering work that’s smart, surprising, and impactful,” Pastore
says.
Poncet will be tasked with overseeing the brand’s development and seeks to ensure that “Gizmodo continues to lead in the ever-evolving
digital landscape.”
“Mylene and Rose have our full confidence to lead the development of a dynamic and strategic market that is rapidly
evolving,” says Jean-Guillaume Kleis, CEO of Keleops.
