MLex, a LexisNexis Legal & Professional division, has launched two premium news services that will feature content on legal and regulatory risks to
business: MLex Artificial Intelligence and MLex Intellectual Property.
The products will complement the journalism in
Law360, another brand in the Lexis Nexis Legal News portfolio, says Teresa Harmon, vice president and publisher of Legal News at LexisNexis.
The coverage will go beyond spot news.
“Other news organizations might tell you when a suit is filed or a piece
of legislation passes, but for MLex AI that's just the beginning,” says Mike Swift, a chief global correspondent who will steward the product with correspondent Matthew
Newman.
Swift continues, “Litigation of regulatory enforcement is legal combat, and we bring you every battle, not just who won the war.
We cover the legal nuance of how regulators are interpreting laws, and we do that worldwide, providing rich coverage every day from not only North America, but also Europe, the UK, Asia, South America
and Australia.”

MLex Intellectual Property focuses on changes in patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and
other issues that “IP professionals need to know to move their business or practice forward,” says Joan Grossman, managing editor of the product.
Grossman adds, “Because our journalists are on the ground and know the key players in their geography, they take the next step to point out the impact of the rulings,
providing practical insights on developments and emerging trends locally, but also working together to pinpoint the global implications — how something like a preliminary injunction entered in
Belgium can impact a case that's pending in California.”
