Julia Goldberg has been hired as editor in chief of Source New Mexico, a States Newsroom publication, after a national search.
The prior editor, Shaun Griswold, stepped down in October 2024, Source New Mexico reports.
Previously, Goldberg was editor and publisher of the Santa Fe Reporter. She has also written for such publications as The New York Times and Salon, and is the author of Inside Story: Everyone’s Guide to Reporting and Writing Creative Nonfiction.
“We’re so glad to have someone with the type of vision and experience Julia has leading our team from Santa Fe,” said Adam Kealoha Causey, national editor with States Newsroom, a nonprofit news organization dedicated to state coverage.
