The day after the Big Game is filled with either elation or sadness for many consumers, depending on the outcome. But there’s one thing fans of both sides probably experience: the post-game hangover. According to a 2024 survey by the UKG Workforce Institute, more than “16 million people across the U.S. either called off work or showed up late due to the festivities the night before” during the Super Bowl.
This week Carl’s Jr. announced its Hangover Burger, created just for those who need a little help after the game to start their Monday. The chain has tapped social media influencer Alix Earle, known for her 24/7 party lifestyle, to promote its free burger giveaway via her social platforms.
On Feb. 10, guests can download the Carl's Jr. app to create a My Rewards account, which will then award them with the free Hangover Burger with no purchase necessary.

"We wanted a partner who embraces all aspects of life, and Alix was a natural fit," said Kara Gasbarro, vice president of creative at CKE Restaurants. "Her fans and followers know she loves late-night burger runs and any cure for a fun night out, making this partnership a perfect match.”
Earle is one of the leading social media personalities in the U.S., with 3.9 million followers on Instagram, as well 7.9 million on Tik Tok, who features her beauty, fashion, and lifestyle tips and hosts the popular Hot Mess podcast.
It may only be free for one day, but the Carl’s Jr. Hangover Burger will remain on the menu after the Big Game from Feb. 11 to Mar. 18.
