Lee Enterprises, which publishes over 70 newspapers nationwide, is dealing with systems issues that are interfering with production.
A company spokesperson acknowledged, "Yes. Lee Enterprises is experiencing companywide technology issues that have impacted our ability to prepare and publish some of our newspapers and online e-editions. We are working to correct the issue".
Numerous Lee websites carried messages that were identical to this one seen on the Billings Gazette and North Platte Telegraph websites on Tuesday: “Lee Enterprises is experiencing companywide technology issues that have impacted our ability to prepare and publish Tuesday's print newspaper and online e-edition.”
It
adds, “Teams are working to correct the issue.”

The headline in the Telegraph says, “Companywide tech outages impact North Platte Telegraph print newspaper and e-editions.”
Several Virginia publications posted similar messages, according to Newsbreak. Some messages varied, citing “a
production issue,” “a server outage” and “companywide technology issues,” Newsbreak
continues.
Another problem is that readers could not subscribe or access their accounts, Newsbreak adds.
