Dara Sanderson Joins Gannett As VP Of USA Today Play

Gannett has hired Dara Sanderson as the vice president of its USA Today Play, a suite of online puzzles, games and other interactive experiences. 

Sanderson will be tasked with developing new ideas for USA Today Play's product portfolio and devising a long-term strategy.

Previously, Sanderson was chief executive officer of Dictionary.com. She has also served in leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company, theSkimm, Digital Remedy, and Marvel Entertainment. 

“We are confident Dara will provide valuable insights to the USA TODAY Play team,” says Caroline Harris, senior vice president of content monetization at Gannett, to whom Sanderson will report. “We eagerly anticipate the positive impact of her leadership and look forward to the creative contribution she will bring to the Play portfolio.”
