Bloomberg Unveils New Spots In Its 'Contextual' Ad Campaign

Bloomberg Media has reached the next stage in its “Context Changes Everything” campaign with three spots directed by Brady Corbet, director of "The Brutalist" and winner of a Golden Globe and other awards, making his advertising debut.

“The Contextualist,’ the newest step in the campaign, features three spots: The Price of Tea in China, Bird in the Hand and Rising Tides.

The campaign features contextual CTV placements on Disney, Amazon and YouTube in the U.S., U.K. and Singapore.

It also includes a digital out-of-home campaign in New York City locations, including JFK’s Terminal 4 and the subway, and in Boston, Chicago and Atlanta.

“‘Context Changes Everything’ has become an important rallying point with consumers to remind them what’s unique about Bloomberg as we continue to double down on global news coverage for them,” says Julia Beizer, chief operating officer, Bloomberg Media. “‘The Contextualist’ moves the brand forward by personifying the prevailing ideas of intellect, curiosity and ambition.”

The ’Context’ effort has drawn more than 100,000 subscribers since its launch in September 2023. As of February, it had 630,000+ total subscribers worldwide.

Corbet, who is with magna studios, notes “the importance of context in today’s information landscape. With the volume and speed of information in every news cycle, it’s more important than ever to connect the dots and dig deeper.”

The campaign continues to be run in collaboration with New York’s Wieden+Kennedy agency.
