Kathryn Vandervalk Named As A VP For Hearst's Lifestyle Group

Hearst Magazines has named Kathryn Vandervalk as the vice president of audience development & innovation for the Lifestyle Group, effective April 21.  

Previously, Vandervalk served as vice president of strategy for Dotdash Meredith’s Entertainment/Beauty & Style group, driving audience engagement and growth for brands like People, InStyle, EW and Byrdie.

“Kathryn is skilled in editorial strategy and has a track record of scaling content distribution and fostering innovation,” says Ronak Patel, general manager of the Lifestyle Group, to whom Vandervalk will report. “I can’t wait for her to start and help build on our strong foundation.” 

The Hearst Lifestyle Group includes Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Delish, Good Housekeeping, HGTV, House Beautiful, Food Network Magazine, Prevention, Redbook, Seventeen, The Pioneer Woman and Woman’s Day.
