Every year National Burrito Day starts to pick up more steam -- or should we say more fans? With Grubhub reporting that the filled flour tortilla is one of its top delivered items (#1 in 2022), Mexican food-based chains are taking notice and giving cause to celebrate the unofficial holiday this April 3.

Baja Fresh is offering a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) burrito deal this entire week. Rewards customers must use the code “burrito” at checkout to receive the offer through April 6.

Chipotle is back with its “Burrito Vault” digital game, which launched for the first time last year. Last year, the chain offered 2,500 BOGO codes per hour (a total 157,500) to the first Chipotle Rewards members who unlocked the Burrito Vault by logging on to UnlockBurritoDay.com. This year, the first player that unlocked the Burrito Vault each hour won free burritos for a year.

In 2024, the chain reported that the Burrito Vault was “played more than two million times and prizes were claimed in under 20 minutes.”

“Our Burrito Vault drove unprecedented fan engagement that resulted in our highest digital transaction day of all time,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle chief brand officer, in a press release.

Chronic Tacos is offering a BOGO  burrito deal on April 3, exclusively available to the brand’s loyalty members through the Chronic Tacos app.

Del Taco rewards members receive a free burrito with any purchase on April 3.

Dos Toros Taqueria’s rewards members will receive $5 off any burrito or burrito bowl on April 3. 

El Pollo Loco has a BOGO offer for rewards members on April 3.

Moe's Southwest Grill is also offering a BOGO on burritos and bowls on April 3. Moe’s Rewards members must apply the reward at checkout.

Qdoba is providing customers free “burrito insurance” on their entrées this April 3. Customers will receive a free extra burrito with their order to “ensure they enjoy a flavorful meal,”  per the brand. Rewards members will receive a free entrée with the purchase of any entrée and a drink

Rubio's Coastal Grill has multiple burritos options available for  $7.99 each on April 3 by using the code "burrito" at checkout on the Rubio's app or website.

Taco John's Bigger Bolder Rewards members will receive a free Beef Meat and Potato Burrito with purchase on April 3 through the brand’s app.
